Patrick L. Jung, MD
Dr. Patrick Jung joined the behavioral team at Midwest Medical Center in 2026 and is a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in general adult psychiatry, obesity medicine, and addiction medicine. He brings extensive experience providing comprehensive mental health care in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and consultation settings.
Dr. Jung's clinical experience includes evaluation and treatment of adults with a broad range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. He also has specialized training and certification in obesity medicine and addiction medicine, allowing him to take an integrated approach to behavioral health and overall wellness.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jung has held clinical, teaching, and medical leadership roles. His experience includes serving as an attending psychiatrist, Medical Director of Telepsychiatry, Unit Medical Director of inpatient psychiatry, Interim Medical Director of Psychiatry, and Medical Director of an addiction treatment center. He has also served as faculty with the University of Maryland Medical System, providing clinical supervision and education to medical students, residents, and other health care professionals.
Dr. Jung has a strong commitment to medical education and has received recognition for excellence in community psychiatry, didactic teaching, and clinical education.
