Midwest Medical Center to be featured Thurs. Aug 7 at 4 PM |

Reporter Jim Mertens, of KCRG TV 9, and his team have been compiling a profile on Galena that will air the week of August 4-8.  Midwest Medical Center's CEO, Tracy Bauer, was interviewed. Monday, August 4 - History | Airs at 6 p.m.
Galena is steeped in history but one man's actions in the 1970's made the city what it is today.  We talk with historians Andy Willis and Katherine Walker.

Tuesday, August 5 - Tourism | Airs at 6 p.m.
It's a mecca for tourists in all four seasons.  We talk with Galena Country Tourism's Terry Mattson, Poopsie's Alana Turner, and Chestnut Mt's Stewart Stoffregen.

Wednesday, August 6 - Art Center | Airs 6 p.m.
A city that is a magnet for artists needs a place for them to thrive.  That's what the Galena Center for the Arts provides.  We talk with the Center's Executive Director Carole Sullivan, artist Steve Larson, and drop in to a class for aspiring student actors.

Thursday, August 7 - Building the Future | Airs 4 p.m.
Over the course of five years, Galena will have rebuilt its entire school system and the city's medical center continues to grow with services you'd see in much larger cities.  We talk with School Superintendent Tim Vincent and Midwest Medical Center President/CEO Tracy Bauer.

Thursday,  August 7 - A Goat Trek | Airs 6 p.m.
We take a walk with the goats at Hoof It Goat Trek and talk with owner Christina Eisbach about her desire to share her family's farm with the public.

On Friday we're live at the Galena Main Street Sidewalk Sales event downtown

Friday, August 8 - Getting Tipsy | Airs 4 p.m.
Vineyards, distilleries, a spirits abound in Galena as local businesspeople meet the needs of people with a taste for something different.  We feature Eric White at Galena Cellars, Matt Blaum at Blaum Brothers Distilling, and Jamie Carroll at Jamie's Wine Studio about their unique contributions to the Galena drinking scene.

Friday, August 8 - Geoffrey's View | Airs 5 p.m.
Among the unique shops on Main Street is the photography studio of Geoffrey Mikol.  But this 31 year old's journey into the world of art is not what you might expect.

Friday, August 8 - A Family Affair | Airs 6 p.m.
Main Street is known for its eclectic mix of shops.  But one extended family has five stores downtown... and is adding a sixth.  We talk with the Meadows-Andresen family about their stores, their connection to each other, and the reason they're happy to have separate businesses from each other.
