Our Team

Jennifer Berning, DPT Director of Physical Therapy

Jennifer is a graduate of Clarke College where she received a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. During her schooling, Jennifer trained at the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center in which she developed a love for sports medicine and helping athletes return to sport. Jennifer is trained and certified in the Graston Technique for soft tissue mobilization and is a certified provider in the evaluation and fabrication of custom shoe orthotics. She is very happy to be working at Midwest Medical Center in her hometown and is excited to give back to the community in which she grew up.

Erin Schoenard, DPT Physical Therapist

Erin graduated from Clarke College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Erin enjoys working in a rural setting as she is able to treat patients of all ages in a variety of settings. Erin has received specialized training in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders, with an emphasis on urinary incontinence and she is currently working towards a certification in Kinesiotaping.

Andy Loeffelholz, DPT Physical Therapist

Andy Loeffelholz graduted from Clarke University with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Andy’s areas of interest include sports medicine, helping athletes return to sport along with fitting and casting for custom shoe orthotics. He has worked in many practice settings including a sport rehabilitation center in Atlanta. Andy is orginally from East Dubuque, IL and is looking forward to treating patients in his local community.

Julie Soat, PTA Physical Therapist Assistant & Massage Therapist

Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Health & recreation from upper Iowa University along with a Physical Therapy Assistant training from Kirkwood. Julie has 15 years of physical therapy experience and 25 years of experience in the health, fitness and massage industry. Julie is also a certified lymphedema specialist and is certified in Graston for soft tissue mobilization. Julie brings a multitude of talent to the clinic and continues to look forward to helping others throughout their process of recovery.

Justin Glen, DPT Physical Therapist

Justin Glen the newest addition to the MMC Physical Therapy and Fitness department. I’m originally from Rochelle, IL (you probably passed it on your way to Chicago or Rockford). I graduated from St. Ambrose University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. After graduating from SAU, I went to Clarke University and graduated in 2011 with my Doctor of Physical Therapy. I have been practicing PT at Trinity Outpatient Rehabilitation Services in Rock Island, IL for the last year. My wife and I recently moved to Dubuque, IA from the Quad Cities. I’m looking forward to being part of the team here at MMC. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask!
